Swimmers Take Notice:

It is extremely important that everyone pay close attention to the surf conditions before going out for a swim.

Different colored flags are posted at every city beach access to alert swimmers of the current conditions.  Kids should never be allowed to swim by themselves and wear life jackets when near the water.

Intoxicated adults should also avoid going out for a swim even if the water appears tranquil.

Dial 911 if you notice a swimmer in distress or think someone is having difficulties returning to shore.

Keep your eye on the swimmer and wait for the surf rescue team to arrive.
